Tillandsia juncifolia

Meet Tillandsia juncifolia, a low-maintenance air plant that looks like a clump of grass:

• Foliage: Fountain-like clump with tall, dense, very thin, stiff, needle-like and upright leaves. They are generally bright green, but have the ability to turn bronze or reddish in high light.
  
• Inflorescence: Produces a tall spike with red bracts and small, tubular purple flowers usually in the spring or summer

• This plant is native to regions ranging from Mexico and Central America down to northern South America and the West Indies
  
• In the wild, it's a slow grower, appearing on trees or rocks at elevations up to 2,400m
  
• Size: Mature specimens typically reach 25-35cm (10"-14") in height
  

Care tip: Prefers bright, indirect light with some direct morning sun. Mist 1-2 times per week (more in hot/dry conditions) or soak every 1-2 weeks for up to 30 minutes at a time. Ensure leaves dry within a few hours; provide excellent air circulation and warm to intermediate temperatures.
