Care Instructions

Light:
Provide bright, indirect light. Too much direct sun can scorch leaves, while insufficient light may result in leggy growth. An eastern or western exposure is ideal.

Water:
Water when the top 1–2 inches of soil feel dry. Keep soil evenly moist but never waterlogged – begonias are prone to root rot if overwatered. Water at the base of the plant to avoid wetting the foliage.

Soil:
Use a light, airy, well-draining potting mix. A blend with added perlite or peat moss works well. Avoid waterlogging.

Temperature & Humidity:
Thrives in temperatures between 65–80°F (18–27°C). Can tolerate 45–95°F (7–35°C). Prefers humidity around 40–60%. Use a pebble tray or humidifier rather than misting leaves directly.

Fertilizer:
Feed every 2–4 weeks during spring and summer with a balanced, diluted liquid fertilizer. Reduce feeding in fall and winter.

Pruning:
Cut back over-long canes to 2–3 buds in late spring to encourage fuller, bushier growth and maintain shape. Remove spent blooms and yellowing leaves to promote fresh growth.
