The Rex Begonia, known as the "Painted-Leaf Begonia," is a breathtaking foliage plant prized for its dazzling array of colors, patterns, and textures. Care Instructions

Light:
Provide bright, indirect light. An east- or north-facing window is ideal. Avoid harsh, direct sunlight which can scorch their delicate leaves. Rotate the plant periodically for even growth.

Water:
Keep the soil consistently moist but never soggy. Allow the top inch of soil to dry out between waterings. Water thoroughly, ensuring excess water drains from the pot. Reduce watering in winter when growth slows.

Soil:
Use a light, well-draining soil mix. A blend of standard potting soil, peat moss, and perlite works well to retain moisture while allowing excess water to drain.

Temperature & Humidity:
Thrives in warm temperatures between 60–75°F (15–24°C). Avoid temperatures below 55°F (13°C) and cold drafts. High humidity (50% or higher) is essential. Increase humidity by placing the plant on a pebble tray, using a humidifier, or grouping with other plants. Avoid misting the leaves directly, as this can lead to fungal problems.

Fertilizer:
Feed every two weeks during the growing season (spring and summer) with a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer diluted to half strength. Stop fertilizing in fall and winter.

Pruning & Maintenance:
Remove dead or damaged leaves to maintain shape and encourage bushier growth. Clean leaves occasionally with a damp cloth to remove dust and keep colors vibrant.
