Care Instructions

Light:
Sundews are sun-worshippers. They need bright, direct light for at least 6 hours a day to thrive and produce their characteristic dew. A sunny south-facing windowsill is ideal. Without enough light, the plant will stop producing dew and decline.

Water:
Use only rainwater or distilled water. Tap water contains minerals that will harm and eventually kill your plant. Keep the soil constantly damp but not waterlogged. The best method is to sit the pot in a tray filled with about 1 inch (2.5 cm) of water, allowing the plant to absorb moisture from the bottom. Never let the tray dry out completely.

Feeding:
Your Sundew can catch its own food. If kept indoors, you can supplement its diet by feeding it one small insect (like a fly, gnat, or spider) every 2-4 weeks. You can also use freeze-dried bloodworms rehydrated with a drop of water. Do not feed it meat or human food. Avoid touching the dew, as this wastes the plant's energy.
