The Maranta leuconeura 'Lemon Lime'. This exquisite cultivar is a member of the prayer plant family, native to the tropical rainforests of Brazil. It is celebrated for its strikingly beautiful foliage—oval, glossy leaves that are a rich, deep green, dramatically streaked and striped with vibrant lime green and chartreuse hues. Unlike the classic red-veined prayer plant, this 'Lemon Lime' form features green undersides, offering a fresh and modern twist.

Beyond its stunning appearance, the 'Lemon Lime' is famous for its fascinating nyctinastic movement. As evening approaches, the leaves fold upwards, as if in prayer, earning it the common name "Prayer Plant". This low-maintenance beauty typically reaches a mature height of 7 to 12 inches and can spread 12 to 24 inches wide, making it perfect for tabletops, shelves, or as a trailing accent in hanging baskets.

Care Instructions: Provide bright, indirect light for the best growth and to maintain vibrant variegation. An east- or north-facing window is ideal. It can tolerate medium to low indirect light, but growth may slow and colors may fade. Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch or fade the delicate leaves. Keep the soil consistently moist but never waterlogged. Water when the top 1 to 2 inches of soil feels dry to the touch. Water thoroughly, allowing excess water to drain away. Reduce watering in the winter months.
