Key Features
- Size: Small, open star-shaped rosette that is spineless reaching 20-30cm (8-12") across and 10-15cm (4-6") tall
- Foliage: Leaves are narrow, strap-like, arching outward, glossy and smooth, with a base color that is a rich lilac-purple that looks almost translucent. Under bright light, the center leaves may flush with vibrant pink or red before flowering, while the outer leaves keep the deeper purple tone. Leaves will become more green under lower light.
- This cultivar is notably used for breeding. It is a parent of hybrids like Neoregelia 'Bonkers' and Neoregelia 'Lova x granada'.
- Great for tabletops, vivariums, or planted outdoors
Care:
- Bright, indirect light to maintain intense coloration (south-facing windows are ideal)
- Keep central cup filled with fresh water, changing regularly
- High humidity (40-80%) to mimic natural epiphytic conditions
- Minimal fertilization to preserve compact growth and color intensity
