Mini Neoregelia olens

Mini Neoregelia olens is a striking Brazilian bromeliad known for its vibrant, speckled foliage and surprising history. 

 Key Features

• Size: It has a funnel-shaped rosette of about 30cm (~12") long.
  
• Foliage: The leaves are usually dusty red with dark red dots, intensifying under high light, with inner leaves turning bright red. In lower lighting, the leaves will revert more to a green, lime-green colors.
• Native to Southeastern Brazil, it was first described in 1865, sometimes called the "Fragrant Blush Bromeliad," though some find the scent of old flowers unpleasant. 
• Great for tabletops, vivariums, or planted outdoors
  

Care:

• Bright, indirect light to maintain intense coloration (south-facing windows are ideal)
  
• Keep central cup filled with fresh water, changing regularly
• High humidity (40-80%) to mimic natural epiphytic conditions
• Minimal fertilization to preserve compact growth and color intensity
