Neoregelia 'Hannibal Lecter'

Neoregelia 'Hannibal Lecter' is a boldly patterned bromeliad hybrid said to be named after the famous fictional character. This plant is recognized for its dramatic, dark banding and is a popular parent plant for many other hybrids. 

• Rosette form typical of Neoregelia genus that opens to about 20 inches in diameter
  
• Leaves are bronze-green but develop heavy cross-banding and spotting in shades of brown, black, and purple. Leaf margins are lined with dark, black spines
  
• A medium-sized variety that imparts its striking banding and dark coloration to its offspring
  

Care:

• Bright, indirect light to maintain intense coloration
• Keep central cup filled with fresh water, changing regularly
• High humidity (60-80%) to mimic natural epiphytic conditions
• Minimal fertilization to preserve compact growth and color intensity
