Neoregelia 'Skotak's Orange Crush' is a standout plant with striking variegated foliage and a mature rosette that can reach up to 24 inches in diameter. A cultivar of unknown carolinae hybrid origin, it has glossy, green leaves with creamy-yellow to yellowish longitudinal stripes. True to its 'Orange Crush' name, the center of the plant blushes a vibrant pink, red, or burnt orange when under proper lighting. This plant is commonly seen listed as "Freddy" or "Freddie" yet noted by the BSI as an error due to the plants identical appearance to those sold in 1995-97 in Florida by Chester Skotak.
