This has been sold by Rainforest Flora, CA, since the 1980's. This plant traces its origins to Belgium, where it was selected from the collection of Van Durme as a sport of Perfecta Tricolor. It was later propagated extensively by Paul DeCoster. Over time, divisions of the plant were distributed to several growers and introduced under different names. Plants sent to F. Gruber in Colombia were later released in the United States as 'Van Durme' and 'Gloria'. Material distributed to DeLeon in Florida was introduced as 'Inferno', while plants acquired by Rainforest Flora in California were released as 'Van Durme'. Despite these different trade names, all of these plants share the same origin and are therefore very closely related.
