Care Instructions

Light:
Provide bright, indirect light for the most vibrant leaf markings. It can tolerate lower light, but the colors may fade. An eastern or southern-facing window is ideal. Avoid harsh, direct sunlight which can scorch the delicate leaves.

Water:
Water when the top 1–2 inches of soil feel dry. Water thoroughly, allowing excess to drain. Reduce watering in the winter months. This plant is susceptible to root rot, so err on the side of underwatering.

Soil:
Use a well-draining, airy potting mix. A blend of standard houseplant soil with added perlite or orchid bark is ideal to prevent waterlogging.

Temperature & Humidity:
Thrives in warm temperatures between 60–75°F (16–24°C). It appreciates moderate to high humidity (40–70%). Boost humidity with a pebble tray, humidifier, or by placing it in a terrarium. Avoid cold drafts and temperatures below 50°F (10°C).

Fertilizer:
Feed with a diluted, balanced liquid fertilizer once a month during the spring and summer growing season. Reduce or stop feeding in the fall and winter.

Pruning & Maintenance:
Prune to manage length and encourage a fuller appearance. Handle with care as leaves can fall off easily when disturbed.
