Pothos ‘Marble Queen’

The Marble Queen Pothos (Epipremnum aureum 'Marble Queen'). This cultivar is prized for its foliage, with each glossy, heart-shaped leaf displaying a unique marbled pattern of creamy white and deep green. No two leaves are ever exactly alike, making every vine a one-of-a-kind masterpiece. Native to the Solomon Islands, this tropical climbing vine is a member of the Araceae family and has naturalized across tropical regions worldwide.

The Marble Queen is a vigorous, fast-growing vine that can trail up to 6–10 feet indoors with proper care. Its leaves typically display a beautiful balance of about 50% green and 50% creamy white variegation, giving it a distinctive marbled appearance. While it is often compared to its cousin the Snow Queen Pothos, the Marble Queen is distinguished by its larger leaves, broader leaf shape, and more balanced green-to-white ratio.

This versatile plant can be trained to climb a moss pole for larger, more mature foliage or allowed to cascade gracefully from a hanging basket, making it a perfect choice for shelves, desks, or as a living wall accent. It is remarkably forgiving and adaptable.

Care Instructions: Provide bright, indirect light for optimal growth and to maintain the vibrant variegation. An east- or west-facing window is ideal. It can tolerate lower light, but the white variegation may fade, and the plant may produce more green leaves. Allow the top inch or two of soil to dry out between waterings. Water thoroughly, allowing excess water to drain away. The plant is forgiving if you occasionally forget to water, but it will not tolerate sitting in standing water.
