The Satin Pothos (Scindapsus pictus), a breathtaking tropical vine that adds a touch of understated glamour to any room. Native to the tropical forests of Southeast Asia, including Bangladesh, Borneo, Java, and Thailand, this evergreen climber is a member of the Araceae (arum) family.

The plant is celebrated for its uniquely beautiful foliage: large, heart-shaped, dark green leaves are irregularly splashed with silvery-gray markings. The name pictus means "painted", a perfect description of its artistic, mottled appearance. Unlike the glossy leaves of a true pothos, the Satin Pothos has a velvety, matte texture that gives it a sophisticated, satin-like sheen.

This versatile beauty can be grown as a cascading plant in a hanging basket or trained to climb a trellis or moss pole. It trails to 3 to 10 feet or more under ideal conditions, making it a spectacular focal point. While it is a vigorous grower, it is also forgiving and adaptable, making it a perfect choice for both novice and experienced plant parents.

Care Instructions: Provide bright, indirect light for the best growth and to maintain vibrant variegation. Water when the top 1-2 inches of soil feel dry to the touch. Water thoroughly, allowing excess water to drain away. Allow the soil to dry out slightly between waterings, as this plant is susceptible to root rot if overwatered.
