This is the smaller sibling to our 5-inch calaveras, and where those offered three different designs, this one offers a single design in five colors. Same skull. Same hand-decorated motif—the flower eyes, the teeth, the trail of blooms across the crown. The only thing that changes is the palette: black, orange, green, pink, or blue.

That's deliberate. It means you can pick the one that matches a room, or a mood, or a person. And it means that if you buy two, or three, or all five, they line up like a set rather than a mismatched assortment.

Each skull stands about 3 inches tall with a small live Tillandsia mounted at the top center of the head—so the plant reads as the final flower in the arrangement. Air plants are epiphytes, meaning they need no soil and no roots, just a weekly soak and decent light. There's no potting, no drainage, and nothing to repot later.

The five colors:

· Black — sharp and graphic, the motif pops hardest here
· Orange — warm and autumnal, the most seasonal of the five
· Green — unexpected and botanical
· Pink — soft and celebratory
· Blue — cool and calm, closest to traditional calavera blues

What you're getting:

· Height: Approximately 3 inches
· Finish: White ceramic sugar skull with a hand-decorated floral motif
· Colors: Black, orange, green, pink, or blue
· Plant: One small, grower's-choice Tillandsia mounted at the top center of the head
· Purchase options: $6.95 each, or the set of five for $29.95

Good to Know:

· The air plant varies. Each skull ships with a small Tillandsia chosen by our grower. It may not match the photos exactly, but it will always be small and scaled to the piece.
· Expect small variations. Minor differences in motif placement and finish are normal.
· The plant is alive. Tillandsias bloom once, then produce "pups" (offsets) before the original plant gradually declines. That's the natural cycle—and the pups can be removed and mounted elsewhere whenever you like.
· The plant is mounted. To water, hold the skull and dunk just the plant, or mist in place and let it dry completely before returning it to the shelf.

Caring for the Air Plant:

Provide bright, indirect light. A spot near a sunny window but out of harsh direct rays is ideal. Avoid direct afternoon sun, which can scorch the air plant's leaves. Misting method: Mist thoroughly 2–3 times per week. Never allow water to pool in the base of the plant as this will cause rot. Always let the plant dry completely after watering.
