Tillandsia atroviridipetala

Tillandsia atroviridipetala is a small, rare epiphytic air plant native to Mexico:

• Foliage: Appears a small, "pin-cushiony" plant with a rosette or thin, stiff leaves that are silvery-green 
  
• Inflorescence: Features a short, bright rose or fuchsia-colored bloom spike with dark-green almost blackish, petals
  

Key features:

• Considered moderately slow-growing
  
• Ideally, this plant should be mounted sideways or upside-down
  
• Size: Mature specimens typically reach 7m (2.75") in diameter by up to 15cm (6") in length, particularly in older, long-stemmed forms
  

Care tip: Prefers bright, indirect light with some direct morning sun. Mist or soak 1-2 times per week (more in hot/dry conditions). Ensure leaves dry within a few hours; provide excellent air circulation and warm to intermediate temperatures.
