Tillandsia neglecta is a distinctive air plant known for its thick, stiff leaves. The leaves are gray-green to silvery, covered in trichomes, and grow outward in a slightly open rosette. Compared to softer Tillandsia species, T. neglecta has a more rugged appearance and a sturdy feel, making it both eye-catching and durable.
When in bloom, the plant produces a tall, upright flower spike with pink to rose-colored bracts, with violet to purple flowers.
