Tillandsia ‘Winner’s Circle’, a hybrid created by the renowned hybridizer Mark Dimmitt. This cross between Tillandsia ‘Houston’ and Tillandsia aeranthos brings together the best traits of its parents. From aeranthos, it inherits stiff, robust, upright leaves, while from ‘Houston’, it gains a beautiful silvery sheen from the dense trichomes.
The result is a clump-forming plant with a bushy rosette of many narrow, pointed leaves. Its dense, upright growth habit makes it an attractive specimen even when not in bloom. When it flowers, ‘Winner’s Circle’ puts on a show producing dark pink bracts that contrast with deep bluish-purple, three-petaled flowers.
Care Instructions: Provide bright, indirect light for optimal growth. Water 2–3 times per week by misting or dunking. When dunking, submerge the plant in a bowl of water for 10–20 minutes, then shake off excess water.
